A lichen is made up of a simple photosynthesizing organism, usually green algae, surrounded by filaments of a fungus. Generally, most of a lichen’s bulk is made of interwoven fungal filaments. 3 layers involved with the reproduction, the “body”, is called thallus is not. The overall growing is involved with rejoin within the organic system, and transfer nutritions within the system through different layers.
Reconstructed lichen’s bio-system, it has 50% of flat surface – Rhizins, with 30% of sub surface – Green Algae and 20% of Cortex surface. Although lichen is formed with different layers but it actually has only one interconnected bio system. Different components form a mutually beneficial relationship, which constantly absorbing nutritions for the whole system to be healthy growing on it own. This kind of system is how a city should be planed, a city could not grow on itself without subsidiary elements beside it, such as the public driven programs.
