项目背景(Project background)

深圳梅林关片区列入了新的城市更新计划。未来将建成40万平方米以居住为主题的大型社区,本案就是这个社区的配套幼儿园之一。
Shenzhen Meilinguan District has been included in a new urban renewal plan. In the future,the district will build 400,000 square meters community with the theme of living , this case is one of the kindergartens which support this。

 

项目区位(Project location)

幼儿园用地面积4800平方米,位于梅林关更新单元地块最北端,用地呈平面不规则坡地,北宽南窄,西低东高。东侧隔一小丘即为梅观高速,西侧为城中村。
The kindergarten covers an area of 4,800 square meters and is located at the northernmost of the Meilinuan update unit. The land is in a flat and irregular slope, wide in the north and narrow in the south , at the same time low in the west and east . On the east side, over a small hill is the Meiguan Expressway , and on the west side is the village in the city.

 

项目简介(Project Description)

设计任务要求在不宽裕的用地上建设18个班。将容纳至少540位适龄儿童——这是他们集体生活的开始。我们将幼儿园看成是儿童认识社会的第一个场所,所以最重要的是通过实体空间塑造的氛围协助儿童建立“社会”的概念,鼓励他们有更多的交往,同时还要保持非常安全的物理和心理环境。于是我们将建筑尽可能贴近用地边线,并且让建筑以儿童更容易识别的“U”型布局,形成朝南开口的有强烈聚合感的内院,围合出阳光充足的集中活动区。
The design taskrequires the construction of 18 classes on the narrow land .It will contains at least 540 children of school age – this is the beginning of their collective life. We regard kindergarten as the first place for children to understand society , so the most important thing is to help children build the concept of “society” through the atmosphere created by physical space , encourage them to have more contacts , and at the same time the physical and psychological environment should remain safe . So we keep the building close to the edge as possible as we can and use the U shape layout to be recognized easily by children.therefore we have a courtyard opening to the south with a strong sense of polymerization and enclose an activity area full of sunshine.

幼儿园入口选在较低的西侧,入园后几个平台的的高差转换到达“U”院,基地的高差体验自然而然融入活动场地,成为空间引导的线索。我们同时认为,相比较课堂内获得的知识,提供丰富的室外空间体验更加重要。园内的场所设计强调可漫游、小尺度、多样性。幼儿学习是在交往中以体验“微社会”的方式进行。我们让这座建筑本身就成为一个大玩具。对儿童来说,一天的活动,就是在这个大玩具里的探索发现。所以我们把可游戏的空间按序贯穿室内外,排布在儿童一天的活动路径上:中间内院为综合活动区,包括体育活动、沙坑,戏水池;通过楼梯间首层的架空可到达建筑北侧的植物园地;四部楼梯变身4座大型装置——我们称之为“假山”,结合休息平台和平层位置设置主题游戏区和小尺度的趣味空间,儿童在到达自己课室的路程中,可以充分享受这些“假山”的穿越乐趣;在各层的外廊,结合每个班级生活单元的入口,设置了大小不一,颜色各异的盒子,增加了各生活单元的识别性,同时也提供了一个儿童三三两两聚集“窥视”内庭院活动的窗口;生活单元通过吊顶压低室内空间的高度,并且划分不同的活动区域,更符合儿童的尺度并且创造更加具有安全感的活动场所。
The kindergarten entrance is selected on the lower west side.After entering the kindergarten,you will get to the “U” courtyard through several platforms with height difference. The different height experience of the base is naturally integrated into the event venue and becomes a clue for the space guidance. We also believe that compared to the knowledge gained in the classroom ,providing a wealth of outdoor space experience is more important.  The design of the kindergarten emphasizes roaming, small scale, and diversity. The learning of young children is carried out in a way of experiencing “micro-society” in communication,thus the building itself has become a big toy. For children ,the day’s activities are discoveries in this big toy . Therefore, we put the playable space combine indoor and outdoor in order to arrange them on the activity path of the children’s day . The middle inner courtyard is a comprehensive activity area, including sports activities, sand pits, paddling pools; The botanical garden on the north side of the building is accessible through the overhead first floor of the stairwell. the four staircases transform into four large installations – we call them “false mountains ”, which combine the rest platform and the flat layer to set the theme game area and the small-scale fun space,children  can fully enjoy the fun of crossing these “rockery” during the way to their classrooms ; In the outer corridor of each floor, combined with the entrance of each class living unit , we set up boxes of different sizes and colors, which increase the recognition of each living unit,it is also a window for children to “peek” inside courtyard activities ; Inside the living unit,ceilings lowers the height of the indoor space and divides the different activity areas, which is more appropriate  to the children’s scale and creates a secure activity place for them.

与儿童主入口相对的是西侧的后勤入口,紧邻后勤入口的半地下一层为食堂等辅助空间,与儿童流线完全分开。
Opposite the child’s main entrance is the logistics entrance on the west side, and the semi-basement level next to the logistics entrance is an auxiliary space such as a canteen, completely separated from the children’s streamline .

 

园社中成长(Growing up in the garden)

我们的设计结合儿童的心理特点和一天的作息,给他们提供更多的自主选择。儿童们能在建筑里漫游,有小尺度的空间供他们探索交流,大尺度的广场任他们奔跑撒野,让孩子们主动介入自己的微社会,更加健康地成长。
Our design combines the psychological characteristics of children  with the daily routine to give them more choices. Children can roam in the building, there is a small scale space for them to explore and communicate , there is also a large-scale squares let them run wild , let the children actively intervene in their micro-society and grow healthily.
